Dear Mister/Miss ,

As the year comes to an end, we find ourselves looking back and feeling proud of what we have accomplished. At the same time, we are excited about what the future will bring and what surprises the new year will have in store for us.

In 2024, CeramOptec introduced the latest generation of fused-end bundles and expanded its product portfolio in the field of aluminum-coated fibers.
A new, innovative manufacturing process, for which a patent has been filed (PCT/EP2024/078726), not only improves the already excellent transmission values but also enables the production of more compact fiber bundles with a wide range of geometric shapes at the fiber end (round, square, hexagonal, triangular, etc.). This enables new applications in spectroscopy, semiconductor manufacturing and high-power light sources.

In the area of aluminum-coated fibers, CeramOptec has expanded its portfolio by improving the coating process. In addition to a wider core diameter range, optional fiber jackets made of nylon, acrylate, ETFE and other particularly robust materials are now available. This makes aluminum-coated fibers highly suitable for use in radiation-intensive or high-temperature environments as well as in contact with aggressive media.

Another highlight was CeramOptec's participation in the medical trade fair Compamed/Medica in Düsseldorf in November 2024. For the first time, CeramOptec presented its portfolio of custom medical fibers and probes (see image above). The application areas range from aesthetic surgery to ENT medicine and also target medical device manufacturers that integrate optical solutions into their products.

The new trade fair year will already kick off in mid-January with the Laser Congress Gwangju in Korea from January 15 to January 17. It will continue shortly afterward with Photonics West in San Francisco from January 28 to January 30, the world’s largest photonics event, followed by MD&M West in Anaheim, California, from February 4 to February 6. In the summer, we are looking forward to the World of Photonics in Munich.

When a woman in Africa is sentenced to prison, her children often have to accompany her because there is no one else to care for them. Medical care for these children is particularly lacking in prisons. For this reason, CeramOptec decided to support this important project with a donation this year.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your trust and excellent cooperation. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership in 2025. Wishing you, your families, and your teams a peaceful holiday season and a great start to the new year!
