Apart from the fact that reindeer can't fly, there are a number of other reasons why Santa Claus can't actually exist.
- Santa Claus has 31 hours to visit around 200 million households. With an estimated travel route of 325 million kilometers, this results in a speed of 10 million km/h.
- If one assumes that a flying reindeer can pull 10 times as much as a normal one, it would take 300,000 flying reindeer to pull the total load of around 500,000 tons.
- At this weight and speed, all the reindeer would have been incinerated within a fraction of a second and Santa would have been pushed to the bottom of the sleigh with a centrifugal force 130,000 times greater than the earth's gravity. Needless to say, he probably wouldn't have survived.
